You have a bunch of ancestors so far, but are not yet Connected to thee main Tree.
Just keep adding relatives - don't neglect the sideways ones (aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws), and see what you can add on your maternal side.

Hello! If you are referring to the size of your posted tree, time and determination will frequent resolve that. As Melanie (Thanks Melanie) mentioned including all known Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins is a great way to grow Your Tree. This will not only fill in more Branches, It frequently provides a way to grow deeper Roots. For example a cousin may have a more complete set of records that can leaf a clue to a prior generation.

I've added some sources to your grandparents and father (hope you don't mind!).  I also created a profile for your uncle (your father's brother) so, as well as doing your own ancestry, he might be one to research: whether or not he married, whether or not you have cousins and so on.

Dear Ms. Eager,

I have added some sources to George Mark Eager's (1842-1895) profile.   He has two children besides your direct line ancestor who may have descendants.  Adding profiles for them could help you attach to "the big tree".  Good luck! -NGP

Hi Penelope,
Great to see lots of people have jumped in to add elements to your tree, but I wonder if you have thought, as I did, that by detailing your DNA on here, you would automatically get a list of matches as people do when they test dna on one of the commercial sites.
Wikitree doesn't work like this with DNA. We still have to create profiles for the people that we know in our part of the global tree.  As we get more information in profiles, hopefully the connections will sprout, and you will be able to use the DNA matches off the other sites to confirm these.  It is a slightly different way of thinking than the other sites.

Thank you, I can get back to Matthew Eager born 1804 to his father John Eager in England but I have no confirmed details on John Eager, no birth or death date. The same with his wife Lydia Matthews, no birth or death date.  Would it be OK to enter my presumed John Eager's father and grandfather  without any evidence? I don't want to inadvertently   mess up the larger Eager tree.  I can see names on here that I think could be related (the Eager family of Massachusetts)
The jump across the pond is usually a tricky one to negotiate, but once you find a single relative the rest becomes surprisingly easy. There shouldn't be any difficulty finding records back to the early 1700s in England in most cases. Undocumented links are discouraged, although if you at least know their names you can add that data as Research Notes to the earliest known relative.

Also remember that any additions or changes might take up to 24 hours to propagate throughout WikiTree. This is especially true with DNA and I am not sure what else is affected. There is also several spelling variations that I can see.  Perhaps some of your ancestors spelled the surname "Eagar, Eger, or even Yeager".  Maybe you can find relatives of yours under those or alternate names already on WikTree. Something to consider.
