Anyone have information about William Hicks?

Question

William Hicks was born in Haywood Co., N.C. about 1804. He married Mary Ann Owens of Greenville, S.C. They are my 3rd great grandparents. They are my brick wall. Their children were Garvin Vanburen Hicks my 2nd great grandfather, Hester, James, Mary, Thomas, George, and Eliza. Garvin’s son John Alexander Hicks was my great grandfather. He was married to Lula Jane Watson.
