Could a data doctor (or whoever does that) please change this LNAB to Brause?

Could you please change the LNAB to “Brause”. We have a birth source now which lists Franz Brause as her father.  

We  great grandchildren all had several spellings of her name, so we may need to add them as “other last names” when we find sources with those names.

Hopefully then I can connect the children of Auguste Wilhelmine Brause and Anton Franz Kumm.

Hi Sue,

It isn't a Data Doctor's job to change the LNAB. That is the responsibility of the profile manager. You can leave a message on the profile or try to message the PM directly, or both, pointing out the evidence for the correct LNAB.

Also, it isn't necessary for the LNAB to be corrected before connecting children. You can go ahead and connect them any time.

I emailed with the pm a couple months ago. She was very nice and gave me lots of family info but said she was too busy for WikiTree right now. Can anyone else change it? The WikiTree ID just looks so awkward.

Another question on that profile.  Christine Herzberg is in red. And when I click on it, it says read only mode. Now when I copied it this came up. What does that mean? It was in read only mode last night also.

The reason why that 'link' come up in red is that there is an invalid profile link for Christine Herzberg in the biography - that profile doesn't exist (at least the one with no number).  Without a vaild profile the link cant be fixed.

The profile manager hasnt been active on WikiTree for over a year - if you havent had any joy in getting things changed perhaps you might like to go through the process of requesting to become the Profile Manager for her's and her father's profiles ?

Hi Sue, normally only the Profile Manager can change the LNAB. In special cases the WikiTree Team (Sysop) will change it. But in your case - if the PM didn't answer or don't want to change LNAB, go ahead with the process "Unresponsive PM":

The link in the bio is in red because the mother has no profile page on WikiTree or the profile is not connected to the child/husband.

Melanie is correct. If this profile manager will simply add you to the trusted list, you can change the LNAB. Submit a Trusted List request.

I sent the trusted list request and emailed with the PM. She emailed back to me. Due to health problems she hasn’t the time or energy to go on WikiTree. And told me “Yes, go ahead and ask Wikitree about being put on the trusted list.”

Will the “unresponsive profile manager” link automatically send her another request or will it just go to a WikiTree team member who can contact me and discuss putting me on the trusted list? I hate to bother the PM again. She isn’t “unresponsive” just overwhelmed with health problems.

Thank you all for your answers. 

I was confused. I emailed with the profile manager in July of 2021. We discussed the two daughters Erika and Gertrude. We never mentioned changing the LNAB of  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Brouser_or_Brauze-1   Auguste Wilhelmine (Brouser or Brauze) Kumm (1867-1956) because my records had several variations also. She did tell me that she had other priorities now, than doing genealogy on WikiTree but to contact her if I had questions about Gertrude.

I will email her and see if she is able to change the LNAB for Auguste and her father Franz Brause or if she will add me to the trusted list on both of them.
