Looking for parents of Blinn Curtis, 1811

I'm looking for the parents of my 3rd GGF Blinn Curtis who was born around 1811 and died in Feb 1856 in Ash Point, Maine. He was on the Brig "Creole" during the slave mutiny in 1841 and in the trials afterward he was once referred to as "James Blinn" and once as "Jim," but his signature on the documents and in other records is "Blinn Curtis." I can't find records of his birth or his death. Would love to hear any leads!

According to Maine Deaths and Burials, 1841-1910, Blinn was born 22 June 1811 in Connecticut, and passed away 25 Feb 1856 - but there is no mention of parents. Do you have a specific profile you are working on that you could provide a link for?
