Can you provide some more information? Where and when were they born? Where did they live? Are they husband and wife?
Hi, I don't know where nor when George Whitehead was born, I really need to have this information and obviously about his ancestors, I know his wife, Elizabeth Eliza Hunt, was born abt 1783, they got married apparently on the 14th February 1822 at St George, Hanover Squate, Middlesex, England. The lived in Babbacombe, Torquay, Devon, she died on the 27th January 1831 and was buried at Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, Devon, England.

If you could please help me find my ancestor's parents or any information that could help me find them it would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance.

There's a bit of extra information in the PCC (Court of Canterbury) will of George Whitehead of Babbicombe, Devon, esquire. 1831
Children by present wife Elizabeth are already well provided for by the will of their late grandfather, so all property is to go to Elizabeth.
Five children of my wife by her former husband Thomas Keise(?): Eliza Harriet Keise, Amelia Hamilton Keise, Georgiana Keise, Saint John Curtis Keise, Emma Ann Whitehead Keise.
My dear sisters Mary, Charlotte and Caroline.
Son George.
It might be possible to find his sisters.

I wonder if this might be his uncle, in another PCC will:
George Whitehead, of Henrietta Street, Manchester Square, Middlesex, gentleman, 1823
Gives 300 pounds to the children of my nephew George
Whitehead at the time of my decease.

Hello Elena if you open the following link http://www.usgardiners.online/Sections/My-tree-on-web/fam656.html

and open the various links I am sure you will find some helpful information

Regards Ross Geissmann

In that link it says that George and Elizabeth had daughters Mary and Charlotte. It's possible that the names ran in the family and George had both daughters and sisters by those names. He definitely had sisters:

In consideration of the brotherly love and affection which I have towards my dear sisters Mary, Charlotte and Caroline Whitehead I give to each of them the sum of five Guineas to be laid out in the purchase of a ring as a token of that affection, and I give to my son George the gold watch and chain which for the last twenty years I have worn.

This obituary of George Whitehead (I only have partial access, the full article might tell more), gives an estimate of his date of birth at about 1773.

DIED. At two o'clock the morning of the 19th instant, at his Villa, Babbicombe, near Torquay, George Whitehead, Esq. aged 58 years. A highly talented gentleman, of great urbanity of manners, and deservedly much respected…

1831

Thank you Vance. I have added it to George's profile

I found them. Seem to be Quakers. These are the children of George and Rachel Whitehead, born in St Michael Bassishaw, London: Sarah, Mary, George, Charlotte, Caroline. George and Charlotte were twins, Sarah apparently died before 1831. All except Sarah are mentioned in George's will. They can be found, with the original images, in Ancestry.

Mary Whitehead

Quarterly Meeting of London and Middlesex
Daughter of George Whitehead & Rachel

Charlotte Whitehead
15 Jul 1772
Parish of Michael Bassishaw, in or near London
Daughter of George Whitehead & Rachel

The date is given in the Quaker form:

George and Charlotte Whitehead, son and daughter of George and Rachel Whitehead, were born on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, called July, one thousand seven hundred and seventy two, in Basinghall Street, in the parish of Michael Bassishaw.

Two more births:

John Whitehead, son of George and Rachel Whitehead, born 17 July, 1768, in Basinghall Street
Charlotte Whitehead, daughter of George and Rachel Whitehead, born 7 July 1775 in Basinghall Street.

I don't know what happened to John. it looks like George's twin sister died young.

Thank you so, so much you really made my day!!!
George Whitehead and Rachel Marchant were married 10 Oct 1763 at Beruton, Somerset:

Long entry: George, a factor of Blackwell Hall, London, son of Joseph Whitehead of Beruton, clothier, and Elizabeth his wife (both deceased); Rachel daughter of John Marchant, late of Bath clothier (deceased), and Elizabeth his wife (still living)

Note: Marriage also noted in the Bristol Monthly meetings:

I have added George (born 1735 at Bruton) and his father Joseph (born 1701 at Bruton). Joseph and his brother Thomas (born 1699 at Bruton) were sons of John Whitehead, but that's as far as I could take it.

On edit: there was an earlier Thomas Whitehead, of Bruton, also a Quaker and clothier, like Joseph. He might be the father of John, the father of Joseph. Thomas Whitehead died in 1691. I have added him in research notes for Joseph.

I think this line probably goes Thomas (about 1610), Thomas (1637), John (1669), (Joseph (1701), George (1735). But I'd like to find a bit more information about Thomas-John-Joseph before connecting them all. (On edit: done.)

I will keep my eye open for Hunts.  Ours were in Gosfield, Essex, though it seems had vacated the area when the widow Jane (de Vere) Hunt went to Sewardstone in the early 1600s and our gang went to Ireland.  As I have found out with Y studies, there are well over 100 unique tested families ...and probably - so a lot to sort out.
