Thank you for the 52 photos challenge. It’s fun to look through our pics. So many memories! —but I have had no luck getting them to this point. Our Easter photo of my Gran with the bicycle we would love ❤️ to share on this site but have tried “multiflourous” (sic) times to no avail. SOS
Hi Karen!

The most common reason for an image not to show up when you want to share it in g2g is that the profile it is on, is not public.

Here is an older answer to your question (hopefully) that might have some hints!

https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/426725/pictures-in-the-weekend-chat

Karen, it took me 6 frustrating months before I figured out how to post a picture. Then I created some instructions to help other people post theirs. I love to see all the pictures every week. I hope to see yours. Here's the link.

PS- I can see that picture on the free space page for this week, so it's not privacy protected. Go to Step 2 on my instructions.

Thank you Joyce! I hoped you would step in! heart

This is an Easter 1950 photo of my husband’s uncle Bill Hopper. He is holding my sister-in-law, and the little boy is my husband. Bill was an Oklahoma rancher with red hair and a very happy personality. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hopper-3410

by Alexis Nelson G2G6 Pilot (843k points)
Sweet Easter photo, Alexis.  Love the little bonnet on the child.
Pat, thank you for the nice comment. I was thinking that I wish I had not used the Easter photo for the Spring answer, then I remembered about having this photo of Bill. It is the only one of him that I have when he was young, so it is my favorite.
Gorgeous Photo of your husbands uncle Ben with your husband and sister in low what a beautiful photo sweet Alexis

Uncle Ben look very kind

Thank you sweet friend for sharing your wonderful photo
Great photo Alexis ! The Baby is just 2 cute !!
Thank you Susan for your sweet comment. He really was a nice man, but I don’t think dealing with cattle would be for me. They would become pets, and I couldn’t send them away.
Marty, I appreciate your comment about my sister-in-law. She and I are very close, and I love photos of her when she was a toddler.
Alexis, the Easter bonnet caught my attention.....upon looking further, I discovered her name and nickname the same as my first born.....an attractive photo of Bill with his niece and nephew.
John, yes—Cindy is a lovely name—it always makes me think of someone very kind.

I couldn't resist.  I know I said I was tired of adding photos my creative father took of me as a child but this was one of my favorites.  I had my Easter Bunny but I had the blues.  Likely I wanted to play outside and couldn't for some reason.  I asked Dad and he didn't remember.

by Pat Miller G2G6 Pilot (215k points)
Pat, I love, love this photo of you and your bunny. Such an absolutely precious photo!
Thank you, my dear WikiTree friend Alexis.  This photo strikes a chord in me but it didn't do much for my Dad.  His favorites and my favorites were generally different but occasionally there was a photo we both loved.
Pat you look adore with your Bunny

You always look adorable on photos

Thank you for sharing this wonderful photo
Thank you, Susan. The bunny thanks you too.

Whaddya mean the Easter Bunny Already Camesad

I watched for him all morning. I only wanted to say HOPPY EASTER to him.

You make me laugh sweet Pat
Pat, when I fix broken machinery I realize as I get into it, it will tell me what to do......this photo definitely said, "post me, post me!"

Marty, if he came for me 1953 I'm sure he has many descendants by now that will appear on Easter 2022. smiley

John, thank you, thank you heart

Sorry to be so slow with the comment, but I'm very glad you shared this photo, Pat. Such a great photo, and perfect for Easter. Congratulations on its selection as Photo of the Week.
Thank you, Lloyd.  I was grumbling about too many photos of me as a child but this is the third one selected as Photo of the Week.  I think I have to just look at the images as the photographic skill of my father and stop being embarrassed.

For what it's worth, as an admirer of your father's photography, that would be my vote. smiley Thank you for sharing his wonderful photos with us!

Beautiful image.
Thank you, Mary

This is New England. There have been years when we wore our winter coats over our new spring outfits, and warm hats instead of Easter bonnets. When the Easter bunny had to send his cousin the snowshoe rabbit in his place. When snow fell on the Easter eggs my father had hung in the bushes.

by Joyce Vander Bogart G2G6 Pilot (198k points)
Joyce, Kathy just received a two foot snowfall photo from her cousin in Montana.....I'll have Kathy send her cousin an Easter egg hint.
Great Picture Joyce. This is further proof that there are Genealogical Easter Eggs ! The Egg family is very extensive, as there are several branches of the tree !
Wonderful, Joyce.  I love that your father hung Easter eggs on bushes and that someone (your Dad?) thought to take the picture.
Hi Joyce--Having gone to college in New England, I know exactly what you're talking about.  What a cheery sight the Easter eggs make against the pretty snow though!!

We don't celebrate this holiday so here is a picture of My husband and I around this time of year. I do play the banjo and this was taken about 7 years ago.

by Lukas Murphy G2G6 Mach 5 (59.8k points)
I like your Easter bonnets! Thanks for sharing.
This is a wonderful portrait, Lukas.  I'm glad you posted it. The banjo's pretty cool too.
Great picture Lukas ! I love the Banjo, and the hats too !!
Super cool old style photo of you and your husband! Thanks for sharing!

While in the archives looking for an Easter photo of our daughter, her birthday is this Easter Friday the 15th, I came across her 8th month old son, Kade, in 2006 with the Easter bunny.  Unfortunately we lost Kade, in 2012, to the 2nd bout of a rare cancer, but not before he had a fantastic trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

by John Thompson G2G6 Pilot (346k points)
Oh John what a adorable photo of your daughter sitting on bunnies lap, she is adorable what a wonderful photo I love it so much
Terrific, John.  Little Kade looks so happy with his bunny friend.

This photo doesn't look particularly "Easter-y," I guess, but it was taken on Easter (9 April) 1944 in Albany, Oregon.

This is my mother, Florence Wright, dressed up to go to church. Last week I shared a photo of her on her first birthday, where she didn't look particularly thrilled to have her picture taken.  This is almost 33 years later, and you can see that she still isn't very excited about it. smiley I think my father took the photo. Not sure why he didn't notice her collar was turned up. This was the first Easter in ten years that my mother wasn't either pregnant or dealing with an infant. Her fifth child had turned two the previous January. There were a couple more to come, but that would be almost ten years later. Wish I could share a photo of the kids from this day. They probably wouldn't mind, but I don't have their permission.

Thank You for sharing this picture of your Mother with us.  You have described this moment of history with lots of detail with is what makes it so special.
Thank you very much for the kind comment, Marty.
Hi Lloyd--I loved your mother's photo commemorating her first birthday last week.  It just made me want to pick her up and see if I could coax a smile.  How fun to see her as an adult this week.  Thanks for sharing your great family collection.
You are so kind, Betsy! Thanks for the comment.

The photo was taken in 1959 in our garden in Leezen, district Segeberg, Schleswig-Holstein and shows me with my Easter bunny. Since I could hardly leave him, my mother threw him away one day when he was already completely tattered, claiming that the fox had taken him because I had once again left him outside.

by Dieter Lewerenz G2G Astronaut (3.1m points)
Cute picture! But I'm sorry to hear about your bunny. I hope it wasn't too traumatic.
What a cute picture! Thanks for sharing. And what is that on your head?
What a Great Picture Dieter ! I love the story, but I have to ask; Did you ever forgive your Mother ?

Thank You for sharing so much of yourself with our tree !!
My mother said that I kept looking for him to see if he was somewhere. Of course, I forgave my mother. I then got a toy elephant on my birthday shortly after that, which I had also owned for a long time. I was already going to school when it fell apart and I threw it away myself.
On the head I have a toy bucket.
You look adorable Dieter with the bunny, is it a bucket you have on your head

Thank you Dieter for sharing this wonderful photo

But i am sad to read your mother Throw bunnie away that was very unkind
It was very mature of you to forgive your Mother at such a young age !

This photo was taken when I visited my gram's house on Easter 2006. I was with my parents, my little sister (her first Easter), my aunt and uncle, and my grandparents in Pittsburgh. Mom always made sure I looked my best for Christmas and Easter masses.

Here is the only photo I have of my grandparents, mother and aunt.  It's too bad that their faces are somewhat in the shadows.  Sadly we lost my grandmother in 1957 and then my grandfather in 1960; I never knew them.  I have been able to attend services at this very same beautiful church though.

by Betsy Ko G2G6 Pilot (136k points)
Betsy, how wonderful that you have a picture with names, date, and place, and that everyone looked so nice that their picture was in the paper.

I experimented with your picture using Photos tool, and managed to make everyone's faces clearer. Would you like to see the picture?
Hi Joyce--Oh my goodness; yes, please!  I'll send you a private message with my email address.  Thanks!
A kind person here on Wikitree told me that I could edit my photos.  I discovered that there is a Photos program on my computer; you may have similar. Often increasing the light on a newspaper photo makes a great difference. Don't be afraid to experiment. And have fun.

This is a picture of 2 of my 3 children, probably taken around 1985/1986 in Cookeville, Putnam county, Tennessee, USA

by Janine Isleman G2G6 Pilot (102k points)
This is so adorable, Janine. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you they are 2yrs 4 months apart, but alot of people thought they were twins when they were younger
Of course people thought they were twins. Same frilly dresses, same hats, even same haircuts. I loved wearing sister dresses with my little sister. (But no one ever thought we were twins. )

My Dad, Vic Hills, in Easter week April 1963 on a trip to Ingleton, Yorkshire, England to see the waterfalls.

My great grandmother Florence Scruggs, and my aunt Wanda, all dressed up for church on Easter Sunday. I'm thinking this photo was about 1961-1963.

Trevor:

Love the hat.  It's a great tradition.

                               Roger
Yes, Trevor, I agree with Roger.  Reminds me of my mom, the tradition of the hats, but also pearls, and white gloves and those heels that made legs look great.  Lovely photo of your relatives.
