Advice before merging these pre-1700 Wilcoxson-Wilcox profiles?

Wilcox-1030 is a duplicate of Wilcoxson-551 (side-by-side comparison) so they should be merged.

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding?

Or perhaps someone with more WikiTree experience would like to complete the merge? Let me know if you do.

Addition to the boilerplate above: Wilcoxson-551 is an abandoned profile I adopted. Wilcox-1030 has a current owner, but said owner said limited vision leaves her unable to help with this. (She had adopted a the abandoned profile some years ago.) Wilcoxson-1030 had some factual errors (that differed from sources it referenced) that made the two appear different. Two different profiles for a son also will need to be merged.

I'd planned to leave in the rather obtuse existing bio and source information, obviously imported from some other platform, but added something that looks more like what I've seen elsewhere. But since the birth was (barely) before 1700 WikiTree suggests I ask for advice. So I am.

Limited vision, but she is still seeing your email contacts so maybe could approve you as co-manager?

From the message I got from her, it's "limited" as in practically blind. She uses some old software (very old computer) to read things to her and does voice to text for data entry. She said she wouldn't be able to help.

I only asked here because of the "pre-1700" prompt, but this is only barely pre-1700, and doesn't appear to be covered by any project. So I'm going to proceed with the merge.

Hi David, I think it's ok to go ahead with the merge.  Just make sure you merge into Wilcoxson-551, using Wilcoxson for the LNAB and Wilcox in the the Current last name.
