Searching for the parents of William Penfold born 1776/7 in prob. London but went to Madeira in 1802

Question

William Penfold married Sarah Gilbert in 1801 in London, they sailed on the Ulysses to Madeira in 1802. William died in Maderia in 1835 'in his 59th year' so must have been born 1776/7....he had a sister Catherine who married a Joseph Coppendale and was 52 when she died in 1837 in London so born 1785. BUT I cannot find their parents anywhere..nothing matches up.

William went to work the wine in Madeira with a Robert Wallas from the Cumbria region.
