Are these two Finnish places the same? Which one is correctly named?

Question

Are these the same place? If so, they should be combined and someone would need to figure out which is the correct name and parent categories.

They are both correct. Nykarleby is Swedish, Uusikaarlepyy is Finnish. The town is bilingual.

Hi Natalie.  I know that someone in the Nordic Group is currently correcting the categories for Finland.  So far just Ostrobothnia Region has been updated and is correct.  I'll forward this to Nordic group category chat on discord in case they want to bump this correction up higher in the priority list. The editbot should assign profiles automatically to the new category once everything has been fixed.

The Nordic Project has just begun adding and cleaning up the parish categories in Finland. It was a small oversight on my part, so I apologize, in that I did not see the Uusikaarlepyy (Nykarleby) parish, as it was not categorized under the Ostrobothnia Region category. Therefore, when the Nykarleby (Uusikaarlepyy) category was created about a week ago, the old one was not merged. I will be taking care of that merge in the near future. The Nykarleby (Uusikaarlepyy) category will be the correct one to use in the future. I will also be double checking the other parish categories that were recently created to make sure that we do not have any additional duplicate locations. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

The merge has now been completed and the bot should automatically move the profiles into the new category in the near future.
