I have got permission from the copyright holder to reproduce this portrait of William Calcraft in the British newspaper archive, they have asked if I could have a working hyperlink to the website, but in the comments for images I can't seem to make it work. Is it possible to have the link working? Click here for the image details page.
Thanks, I must have done some typos when I tried it before
Better repeat the source here aswell:
Newspaper image © The British Library Board. All rights reserved. With thanks to The British Newspaper Archive (www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk).
From Illustrated Police News front cover on 28th Dec 1867
Thank you for doing this. If they allow one; maybe others. I've spent ages transcribing, or rather editing OCR transcripts from the British Newspaper archives for use on wikitree e.g. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Thomas_and_John_Kent_of_Cumberland
There are also a few images that I would have liked to have used but again haven't because of the copyright notices. You've motivated me to ask for permission.
I was surprised how easy and friendly they are about it, I just followed the instructions in the 'copyright questions' link at the bottom of their website and had an email back a couple of days later.
