Looking for info on William Jennings McDonald 1822 - 1900

Question

My 2nd great-grandfather, William Jennings McDonald was born in 1822, where unk. and died in 1900 in Arcadia, LA. He is buried in Arcadia but, I cannot find anything about where he was born or who his parents were.
