April 2022 in Review

Here are some highlights of things that happened around our community in April:

News:

• The April Connect-a-Thon happened! Check out this summary for top scorers, team stats, and more.
• While working on Adrienne Wilkinson's tree for the WikiTree Challenge we found a cool connection between her 2nd great-grandfather, Buffalo Bill, and the Civil War. Check out this five-minute video that tells the story!
• Did you notice this round of changes that were including gender-related ones?
• Join the Netherlands Project in their 7th Annual Netherlands Liberation Day Challenge.
• Would you be interested in collaborating on a WikiTree browser extension? Join the discussion here. 
• Check out the photos being shared each week in the 52 Photos challenge and the profiles being improved during the 52 Ancestors challenge.

Members:

• Laurie Miller, Trevor Pickup, Annemarie Hanlon-Bruinsma, Steph Meredith, Paddy Waldron, Ian Hunter, Alicia McCormack, and Stu Ward became Team Leaders.
• Daniel Bly,  Pip Sheppard, David Loring, and Claire C were interviewed and featured as Members of the Week.
• Florian Straub, Susie Officer, and Joan Hollander were awarded Super Stars. 
• 23 members received Community Stars, 42  received Family Stars, and 45 received Generous Genealogist badges (see here, here and here).
