DONALSONVILLE — Carrie Belle Boyd Adams, 96, of Donalsonville passed away Monday, January 16, 2006, at Donalsonville Hospital.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Olive Grove Primitive Baptist Church cemetery in Iron City with Henry Covington officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Adams was born in Brooks County, GA, on September 9, 1909, to the late Joseph Christopher and Willie Burgess Boyd. She was married to Claude S. Adams who preceded her in death. She attended Olive Grove Primitive Baptist Church and will be remembered by many as being a teacher and the librarian at the Seminole County Public Library.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Dorothy Ham of Cowarts, AL, and Claudette Landwehrmann of Greensboro, NC; two sons-in-law, Bill Smith and Charles Burke of Donalsonville; devoted neighbors, The Henry Covington family. She was also survived by 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two daughters, Marjorie Burke and Pearl Smith.
