Need help - am totally confused rectifying all my errors for this family

Need help with this family, have totally screwed up some of the family.  Can someone please send me their email address & will send you a copy of my files.  Cannot see to post here.  Thank you.

Nicol Smith which is Smith-45935 is connected as different profiles as both a father and son of William Smith.  You can see this in the dates.  However, for fear of someone else seeing this and editing at the same time as me I didn't touch anything.  It's an easy fix so hang in there Laurine.

I can only say I'll check back in a few hours to see if somebody repaired it.

William Smith m. Katherine Halcrow - in 1743 had Nicol Smith b. 1747 (surely there were more children but have not found them)

Nichol Smith (son) m. Katherine Sinclair in 1769

Children of Nicol Smith  & Katherine Sinclair are William b. 1769, James b. 1772, Katherine b 1774 & Agnes b. 1776 - no more children shown

Nicole Smith-45935 is the patriarch of this family, But he is presently connected as a child of William Smith-39924 while he is really the father.  hmmm...

I'm going in.  First I'm going to disconnect Katherine as the mother of James, to avoid cross-contamination of the relationships, she can be re-associated when this is over.  Then I'll replace the father of James Smith with Smith-45935

Now Katherine Halcrow needs reconnecting and made the mother of the patriarch. hmmm....

That's done.  There is a pending merge of Nichol Smith born 1747 and with that merge Katherine Sinclair will again be associated with the family but will need to be re-connected with the other children.  

I think it's done and it's now back to you!
