The merge that has been proposed shows his death date as 1736.

in response to this message, the merge was rejected.  Not that my opinion counts, but I would have thought this question insufficient to justify maintaining duplicate profiles, even if neither of them is registered to Mayflower project. I don't know whether silver book gen 5 is eligible for project coverage.  I do observe that the rules have varied on whether managers are removed when a profile is placed on project.  Lately, I think managers have remained on the profile, if they respond to request to join the project.

When there is no specific source for date of death, I suppose "after" date of will signing, or "before" date of probate hearing after death should be quoted, so as to resolve such issues.  It's not always easy to determine whether a source quoted as probate is in reality just the signing or registration of a will prior to death.

In the time period of concern, deathbed wills often were written, and probate courts often acted in a month or 2, so the time lags need not (but may) be significant.
