What happened to Philip Edward McClain of Hudson County, New Jersey?

Question

I have made a bit of progress, finding Philip McClain living with his aunt in 1850 and 1855...but then where does he go? Does he marry? Does he stay in New Jersey? Where is his burial? I am hoping there are descendants that can help me with him. I also made the link between Elvina Sedore and Elvina Danielson, wife of Joseph. Maybe the Danielson clan of New Jersey can help with that one.

This might be him in 1860 Census, living with Zachariah and Catherine: "United States Census, 1860", database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MFHL-G4S : 18 February 2021), Philip Mc Clain in entry for Zackariah Mc Clain, 1860.

Thank you Rick for your efforts! I had seen that Zachariah McClain household before but could not make a link to it since every record has his father's name as John. Of course, it is a possibility, but a longshot!

It's still possible that a John was his father and if that John had passed, his mother was now with a brother or other relative of John, with the same last name- a common practice.

I take it all back.  Your Catherine born 1812 cannot be the same Catherine married to Zachariah, as she was born abt 1796

Thank you Rick for your comments. The 1812 birthdate for Catherine is just a circa date. However, I happen to know John McClain was alive in 1866 when he was recorded as father of the bride.
