Looking for possible children of Wm. Emerson, brother of R.W. Emerson, born in 1845.

Looking for the parents of  Clara Jane Emerson, my g-g-grandmother, born about 1845 most likely in the New York area.  She later married Origen Abbey Wilcox, who left New York in 1856, as a sixteen-year-old, to settle on the Tule River in California and begin ranching.  William Emerson, R.W.'s brother, would fit the time and location, but I can't confirm this without more information.  Family lore always spoke of a relation to the author, but the history/documents I have tend to follow my grandfather's patriarchal side.  Ask me most anything about the Putnam side...back to 1627!

According to ancestory.com, Clara Jane Emerson born May 1845 in new york.She married to Origen Abbey Wilcox and later moved to California. She died 3-29-1907 in Porterville, Tulane, California.

As for William Emerson born in 1845 he married Mary Derise. They had 4 children: Gene, Hoarse,Jeannie A., and Addain .1880 according to the census they lived  in Old saybrook,Middlesex, Connecticut. Hope this helps.
