Little Rant - not a question

I've spent the last week on my Ancestry tree see what has changed in the last 6 years since I last worked on it. It has been great to find new sources but I am going CRAZY with number of people in my tree that have silly dates, I mean marriages when the person is 9yrs old or having children at 11. I've spent time trying to sort these out. I get that on rare occassions this might have happened a loooong time ago but these people are in the 19th century.

There I have had my little rant now and feel much better

This is why you have to be exceptionally wary of copying information from other people's trees, and from just accepting Ancestry's hints, which are very often not only incorrect but impossible both geographically and chronologically. If you have instances of people married at 9 and parents at 11 in the 19th century you clearly have some very wrong info somewhere and should detach those people/delete them and start over (and don't add things without verifying the information and sources and making sure you have the right John Smith and not some other John Smith, or whatever the person's name is).
