England Project celebrates 850 years of English Authors

The English Authors Topic was created four years ago by member Ros Haywood, with font for headings based on the handwriting of Jane Austen.  Since then, English authors from as far back as 1328 (Thomas Gray le Fitz) have been and are being gathered together in one place, linked to their WikiTree profiles.  Chaucer, Shakespeare, and H.G.Wells rub shoulders with diarists, historiographers, travel writers, playwrights and poets - right up to the present day.

Of course, Sir FRANCIS Bacon (born 1561) is also there.  As 7th cousin 13 times removed (from Kevin Bacon), will his connection get closer?

It is, isn't it? :) Feels like you are growing when you look at these profiles, and if you knew nothing about them, you lear, and if you *did* know something about them, you learn something new!
