Galicia Project (Galicia, Austria): Proposal for Category Structure [closed]

Hello fellow Wikitreers!  I have been asked to submit a proposal on the category structure for the Galicia Project.

This is one of those projects where I had not been notified or learned there was a proposal process until a few days ago, though this project has been well underway for the past three years.  It was built upon an existing set of categories. Going back and looking through an old email, the collaboration on structure was between myself, Maggie N., Eowyn and Michael Miranda.  At the time, the interest in this area was only just beginning (Eastern Europe) and there was not enough help or information.  Fortunately, times have changed and there is a great deal of interest!

All the districts have already been created, based off records from the 1900 census.

Galicia was dissolved after WWI into what is present day southern Poland and west Ukraine.  Though there were several other district changes to that region between 1918 to present day.  The Galicia Project only focuses on this region from 1772 to 1918.

Skye, this is so excellent and thank you so much for setting Galicia up so logically. Category structures for the moving borders of Eastern Europe is a challenge
