How do I remove photos from a profile they don't belong to?

I have added photos to Peterson-13960 that don't belong there.  I am talking about the photos of Harold Peterson, Joyce Brunes Peterson, August Brunes, and Beda Dahlstedt Brunes.  I have no idea how this happened and would like these removed.  The only one that belongs there is the migration paper which is a source.  How do I fix this?

On the profile, click on "Edit." On the right side of the page, under the thumbnail for each image, click on "remove." You will need to put a word or phrase in the change explanation box, then do a full save.

Yes, please, except for the image of his migration paper.  There is also a duplicate of that paper for his wite Charlotte.

Thank you so much
'Tis done.
Yea!  They are off Gustav's profile.  I will just add Harold and Beda back - tomorrow - just to give myself a rest on their own profiles.  Hopefully I learned something.  I am so sorry that I have kept you so busy the past couple of days.  I usually need a manual to operate things.
Not a problem. I enjoyed helping you.
Well, I didn't wait until tomorrow.  I uploaded Beda's photo back, It showed up on her profile, Dahlstedt-12, but not for the thumbnail.

I uploaded Harold's twice, and it didn't go anywhere on his profile (Peterson-15853).  I know it's floating around somewhere, but don't know where.  I saw it when the sign asked if it was the same as (Peterson-15853).  I tapped on that and - nothing.  Thought it would work.  Other photos have.
I set Beda's photo as Primary (so you would get the thumbnail at the top.) Hope that's what you wanted.

Let me see what I can about Harold.
Okay, it looks like Harold's photo has privacy protection level which prevents me from being able to do anything. Go to the image page and click on the lock icon and change the privacy level to open (green). It may then show up on his profile without me having to do anything else.
I did change it to green, but it didn't stick.  When I went back to the profile to see if the photo was there, it wasn't.  When I went back to the image page, it was red again.  I found the image page by using the changes tab, and saw the thumbnail.

I was wondering if these problems didn't start with the former problem of having all of those extra people on my watchlist.  That seemed to happen when I asked my cousin, who is PM for a profile, to be on the trusted list for that profile to add a photo - and he ok'd it, and I got his watchlist mixed with mine.  Weird.
If the photo you want has NO profiles attached to it, the system will delete it after a number of days.
What you need to do is add the profile ID# of the person in the photo (or whoever it is you want it attached to) and add that ID# to the image.  Then save.

You cannot otherwise change the privacy level of an image.
It worked.  Thanks you guys.
