John Clephus Simpier Sr (1875 - 1950) and “unknown” daughter a baby girl?

There is a source showing he had a daughter with his second wife Ruth who was the sister of his first wife who passed away tragically; however no further info I can find on this baby girl born:

Sex: Female

Birth Date: 6 Mar 1922

Birthplace: Washington, United States

Father's Name: John C Sempier

Father's Sex: Male

Mother's Name: Ruth Nissen

Mother's Sex: Female

Nobody mentioned this child in family knowledge. Did she exist? Did she pass away early or live a full life? A mystery I can’t seem to figure out

The baby was born in Lewis County. You might search cemeteries there. I am betting she died quite soon.

I’ll try but over 50 cemeteries listed for Lewis County in Washington state. I did a find a grave search for her surname and year of birth no result.

I’m curious why they divorced maybe I missed the reason or a source? The divorce was mentioned in a news clip.

My grandpa John was born in 1915 so he would of been only about 7 years old when this baby girl was born so he might not of known about her

Thanks for the star, Andrew! If the divorce decree was filed in Thurston County as the news suggests, then you could try contacting Thurston County's Superior Court and request a copy of the divorce. I recently wanted a 1940 court case from Yamhill County, Oregon, I called them, and they kindly assisted me in filling out the correct form and they sent it to me electronically for less than $8.00.
