WIKI ID Ellis-12855
My grandmother has been frustrating my efforts to source her LNAB. All I can find but have loooked what I have thought extensively is that Amy Blomfield wife of John Collis Blomfield (my grandparents) - Amy was mentioned in the will of Harriett Shakespear as having bought her up from a child when in her will she left her estate to Amy. This will was changed later by her executors however her gravesite gives Amy Shakespear as her name also. Yet I cannot find birth records and England records I am finding confusing. I did find a marriage of an Amy Ellis to Harry Ellis in Papers Past but I now do certainly feel this is not the Amy Ellis that is Amy Shakespear. I wonder if anyone can give me some clues, I have been going round and round for 6 months or so. Thankyou in advance for any kind thoughts you may be able to offer.
