linking guest member to existing family

Many cousins have contacted me and have taken the initiative to create guest memberships, now I want to connect them to their existing tree but can't see how to (not on the trusted list for the guest member). I've created a few profiles without the email, and then suggested a merge, but I don't think that's ideal (for a person new to Wikitree). I've also tried adding the profile ID as a child of their parents, but that doesn't work either. Ideas?

I pretty sure the person needs to upgrade to family member. Then you can merge them with their profile, if you have added them to your family branches or a attach them to their parents, if there is only one profile.

It is free to upgrade.

Hope that makes sense. Come back here to the forum if you have any other questions.
