Joseph Roy/King, my great-grandfather, disappeared. I have not found a record of him after the baptism record of his son.

I have found several sources from birth up to his son, Thomas' baptism. I also have the death record of Nancy, showing her as single. Maybe it is a this is a puzzle I'll never solve. My grandfather Thomas listed his maternal-grandmother, Emelie Lebel Bourgoin (wife of Jean Bourgoin), as his next of kin on his WWI enlistment papers.

This could be an ancestor of his, Alexander Roi, 1790:

Charles Roy dit Boniface was Joseph's great-grandfather. Charles had a son named Alexander but he would have been too young to have built the house in 1790...once again, if my info is correct. Not sure if the house building Alexander is related.

Thank you very much for the two answers!
