Is it possible that this Aaron Hovey (Hovey-1370) was married to Fidelia/Florilla (sp?) Herman?
I am trying to find the parents of John Hovey (born in CT between 1807-1809. I found him living with Florilla in 1860 in NY.

What do you think? Too much of a leap?

Are you sure that Fidelia and Florilla are the same person? I have an ancestor who spelled her first name Phidelia.
Dang!  there's a point system for answering questions?  Hmmmm.

I did respond directly onto Casey's message board.  specifically:

Hovey -1565 & Hovey-1389
not sure if this will help you but there is a Hovey Family Book, that is online in PDF format goes back to 1600's .

It may help, to initially find many of the connections within the Hovey lines, and make it easier to locate actual verfication docs.
