My maternal gg grandfather came frm the philippins descendant of the Zamoras, from Zamora Spain in 1500's.  I am still trying to race Francisco's family from the Philippines back to Spain, but lack of records have not helped.  There is about 300 years of mssing family history.

My family name is Salvador and I believe we might be related to Joseph Salvador 1716 - 1786  who was connected with the British East India Company. If you read my profile story, its all there. This family was once called Rodrigues and had to convert because of the Inquisition. I have a spreadsheet with a huge number of autosomal connections with people such as Da Silva, Silva, Perez, Garcia, Rodrigues/z, Goncalves, Gonsalves/z etc. One of the BEIC people went to India on a trading trip and stayed there. With about 10% Indian, I believe this is our forefather.

Hello,

I am interested in this project. I am new to Spanish genealogy and would like to learn more. My maternal grandparents were born in Cuba by way of Spain. So far I have determined my 2nd great grandfather was born in Barcelona and my 3rd great grandfather was born in Galicia.

Bom dia, sim, meus avô Christóvão Cortez era Espanhol de Almeria, filho de José Cortez e Campos e de Josepha Cortez Camacho e vieram para o Brasil no início do Século 20.

Hi, I would like to join as most of my family comes from Spain, however, my family arrived here so many centuries ago, I don't know where they've come from. Still, I'd like to help, and also find more about my ancestry.

I recently had my Ancestry.com.au DNA estimates updated. The new update has added 1% of Basque DNA to my ethnic admixture. Not quite sure where this originates in my family but hopefully given time I can make the discovery.
