Which Tennis Player are you most closely connected to?

Wimbledon is happening right now, so we're featuring tennis players in the Connection Finder this week starting with Steffi Graf.

Here are other tennis players to check out:

Which one is most closely connected to you? If you're one of the 26.3 million of us who are connected to each other on our big tree you can check with the Connection Finder.

Special Feature: Check out how you're connected to more professional tennis players, as well as Wimbledon Championships participants and members of the International Tennis Hall of Fame using the green MyConnections button in the upper right hand corner of these category pages.

Let us know how you're related below! If you want to share your connection on social media with cousins and friends, click the "get shareable image" below the results, e.g. Steffi Graf and Helen Roark. Then just upload it along with the URL of your direct connection. (Please refrain from sharing your connection on the featured profiles themselves, though. It clutters conversations on research and collaboration. Thanks!)

Help us with next week's rock 'n roll feature by helping to choose and improve profiles for it.

WikiTree profile: Stefanie Graf

There is some doubt that Ham Richardson was ever a professional or that he ever earned a penny of prize money. This may also be true for some of the others who played mostly before 1968.
Right, hence the focus just on "notable" tennis players. Thanks for adding your cousin!

My closest connections are Steffi Graf and Helen Roark at 21 degrees (but no relationship) and Hamilton Richardson at 22 degrees (which shows a relationship but there's an obviously bad link in the line).

I'm not much for sports, but I do like playing tennis, especially badminton. I got pretty good and competitive at both in high school, at least in my aerobics class. I was the second best in the class at badminton by a hair (I had a good "rival"!), and I think there were 6 students who were better than me at tennis, but I really, honestly enjoyed playing against better players. It makes the challenge more fun. Something to keep you going, to keep you striving for self-improvement, analyzing and learning from others' better tricks and maneuvers. I haven't played either in years, but maybe I'll ask some friends sometime if they want to go hit some birdies, especially my bird watcher friend, just for her reaction. laugh

Think of the poor, wee birdies!

Unbelievable!!!

WikiTree has this absolutely Wrong!

They obviously know nothing about judging these connections!

Can't they see they've crossed a line?!

Where did they get their judging qualifications?!

Are there any professionals here?!

Somebody needs to open their eyes and pay attention!

There is absolutely no freaking way I am connected to John McEnroe!!!

<Grin>

I LOVE how you went all John McEnroe on WikiTree! laugh

He just threw his racket, didn't he?

I was secretly pleased when I read through the list and was closer to Ham Richardson.
When you listen to him as a commentator, he seems like a really nice guy. But on the court in particular, as his WikiTree bio says, he had firey temper.
