I have been correcting the 897 suggestions on Civil War profiles.

Why is the Michigan Flag used on profiles for the 1st New York Dragoons? Should it be replaced with the New York flag?

Please advise.

I think members cut and paste but don’t edit the flag from where they get the civil war sticker it’s a problem I’ve encountered on many of my New York vets profiles

Apparently almost every veteran in that regiment has the wrong flag in their civil war sticker

Here is a good page US Civil War: War Between the States Flags

Yes, I saw that. A very helpful page.

I don't know, Andrew.  I'm not adequately knowledgeable about stickers to add the correct ones for A.J. Lorish [[Lorish-9|Andrew Jackson Lorish (1832-1897)]] , who was a 1st NY Dragoons sergeant who won the medal of honor at Third Winchester.  The Attica Historical Society recently had Company C's battle flag restored.  https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=486948583227636&set=a.192372159351948 ,  The NYS Military museum has their standard, here: https://museum.dmna.ny.gov/flags/cavalry/1st-regiment-dragoons-ny-volunteers/1st-regiment-dragoon-ny-volunteers-standard-civil
