Gedcom files of Famous people

I looked at a few of my connections with "Famous" people. I would love to dive into these connections and populate the tree forward. The issue I have is to do so would be an exercise in redundancy.

A good example is Charles Darwin. I know this line has been researched for years. Why spend weeks copying this work when all I want to do is pick up where others stopped.

Does anyone know where I could get a Gedcom or FTM file for different family lines? This is, of course, beyond the few already available here.

Thank you

Thank You.

familysearch.org has me related to him from my father Lanny Dark. My 9th cousin 4 times removed. Both my parents , my daughter and my DNA results are on Ancestry and I have my DNA results on 23andMe along with my dad’s double first cousin and my sister’s son . I have shared my parents DNA along with mine on sites like True Ancestry ,My Heritage and GEDmatch.

You can create a GEDCOM file from a piece of the Wikitree shared tree, if that's what you're asking. There are a few options:

Hello Daniel, and thank you for wanting to work on the descendants of Charles Darwin. Can you clarify what you mean by "redundancy" and "spending weeks copying the work"? We develop lineages on WikiTree by connecting new person profiles to the profiles of relations which already exist. So there shouldn't be any copying necessary, as you won't be creating duplicates of profiles which already exist.

Possibly he means that he would be copying them to research offline.
