Is this profile protected by a Project Group?

I have not received an answer yet:

 Daniel May-494

 Dear Palatine Migration project Group,

I accept the group is smarter than I am. Perhaps, someone can explain how Daniel May-494 ends up with 24 children. I understand the biological reasons, it is the genealogical that is troubling. So far, I am seeing Find A Grave showing six children. I know that is sometimes not a good source, but the odds are with 24 listed more would be in FAG.

 I can find:

4.       Agnes May-3596 — FAG ID 18155163 (Geringer)

6.       Margaret May-12203 — FAG ID 11928201 (Efland)

10.     Catherine May-3594 — FAG ID: 11215897

12.     Anna Barbara May-3603 — FAG ID: 131920064

13.     Jacob May-3604 — FAG ID: 229516133

23.     (Mary) Magdalena May-3613 — FAG ID: 97028165

I have requested the two Margarets be merged (May-12203 into May-3599).

I checked each sibling listed in FAG and they all agree the ones I have listed here.

What does the project group desire? We can use FAG to start providing sources missing for the six. The others seem (to me) should be removed from the family group until sources found justifying how to handle them.

Is this a question for G2G to figure out?

I haven't heard of the project, but I don't get around much.
Should I just go ahead or is there a "group" to work on the problem?

This profile is not project-protected. The Palatine Migration Project did identify it as a profile that fits into the scope of the project, and therefore added itself as an additional profile manager (alongside a human member who has since removed himself from management of the profile), but there is no project protection on the profile.

The profile is in serious need of research and other improvements, being based almost entirely on an unsourced Ancestry Family Tree. The only good source is the probate file (estate papers) mentioned in in the Research Notes.  His Findagrave memorial is not a reliable source. Use it as a source for hints and use Findagrave for evidence of the lives of the people connected as children who have photographed gravestones, but do not pretend that Findagrave is a source of proven information about this man's life.

Any member can research this person and edit the profile. The research resources listed and discussed on the pages Palatine Migration Project Reliable Sources and Palatine Migration Research Resources may (or may not) be helpful for researching this person.

PS - The project consists of individual WikiTree members with an interest in the Palatine Migration population.  Project members often can give advice in response to specific questions related to ongoing work on specific people, but the "project" should not be assumed to be some sort of specialized expert research service with infinite resources.

There is a Palatine Migration Project. You might have better luck getting a response from someone in the project if you add their tag, PALATINE_MIGRATION, to your post.

Probably a good answer. BUT how do I put a tag on my message?

'Edit' your post - you don't need to change any of your post content, but below you should see a box for "Surnames/Tags"... you can enter 'PALATINE_MIGRATION' there, and save.
Thank you!
