Stuck on Partridge liniage

Question

My grandmother wrote in my fathers baby book the following:

James Garfield Partridge b.17 Apr 1880 Boston, Mass.  Son of Joseph Murdock Partridge b. abt 1851 Boston, Mass.  Above that, (indicating Joseph father)  Sylvester (descendent of Colonel Calvin Partridge).  

I am unable to find information leading from Colonel Clavin Partridge to a Sylvester other than Calvin's mothers name was Grace Sylvester and Calvin's father's name was Isaac Partridge.  

Can anyone help with this Partridge Liniage?

Part I:  I didn't find the link to Calvin. Appears that Sylvester descended from William W. Partridge and Louisa Edwards; and that William W's parents were William and Elizabeth.
