G2G: Information about family of James L. Van Gorder born 1820 in Warren, Ohio.

Question

Married to Phoebe Marilla Moore.  Had son George L. Van Gorder, born in Bowling Green, Ohio, who is my husband's grandfather.  I wish to know who the parents of James L. Van Gorder are.  They could be Isaac Van Gorder and Lucy Moore, but I have no proof.

There was a Cyrus I Vangorder with an estimated birth year of 1815 in the 1850 US Census taken at Warren, Trumbull, OH. He was 35 yrs old at the time and married to June W. 30y with a daughter, Mare E. All were born in OH. This Cyrus was the right age to possibly be an older brother of James L.

There was also an Isaac Vangorder who paid city land taxes in 1832 who was a resident of Warren Twp., Trumbull, OH.

The 1870 US Census has a sister for your George L. Vangorder, named Lottie age 20 and a brother Charles age 18 in 1870.
