Where in Virginia was James Crawford born? (died 1811 in Hillsborough, NC)

James Crawford was born in Virginia according to records, but the place and date are not certain.  One record mentions Fork of James, VA which is not a clear point of reference.  Approximate date was 1752.  James moved to North Carolina, lived near Hillsborough, married and had 8 or more children at his death Dec 31, 1811.  He was listed in grand jury records of Hillsborough and deed records, his wife was Mary Margaret Frazier.  Four of his sons moved to Indiana in the 1830s.
