Looking for ancestors of Jacob Anderson Barger (b.1820 d.1904)

Question

I am a beginning geneologist so I GREATLY appreciate any and all help.  I have not been successful finding info on ancestors of Jacob Anderson Barger II.  There is a Jacob Anderson Barger I and III which makes it very confusing.  The family lived close to the Chattanooga TN area (including northern GA & AL as well).

Here's the info I have found on Jacob Anderson Barger II . . .

b. August 30, 1820

d. December 24, 1904

m. 1845 to Malinda Jane Runyon (b. August 25, 1824   d. April 7, 1911)

Our family line continues on through their son William Clayton Barger (b. August 21, 1855   d. May 9, 1927).

When I searched "Jacob Anderson Barger", b 1820, Tennessee, at http://www.FamilySearch.org, I got all sorts of record images in the results, and listing his wife of Malinda in several of them (mostly death records of his children). You might want to work backwards in Census records, to locate his parents. Best of luck!

Find a Grave has the following on Jacob Anderson III b 10 Nov 1860 unknown location d 12 Nov 1927 Greenwood Cemetery, Chatanooga, Hamilton, TN, USA. Note Contributed by Nancy Giger Ford who states this is my Grandfather, FAG has a link to her.  Might be you find a cousin.
