Here is a probate record for a William Dawson with a child William Dawson- see especially image 2, but note the discrepancies of 1) only 3 children, & 2) Kent instead of St. Georges (but I don't know Maryland's geographical history):

I think that's a different person.  The William who lived in Prince George's County died there in 1756, but left no will.  I've seen some Internet sites that provide him with a son William, but no documentation to actually connect them.
Thanks for your find. However, as mentioned, the William Dawson who died in Kent Co. in 1785 is NOT the same William Dawson who died in 1756 in Prince George's Co. with a presumed son William (b.1738). I should have provided more information
It's alright, that was the only one I found...
