Join our Zoom Q & A Session on Thursday for New Members!

Question

Are you new/newish to WikiTree and find that things keep tripping you up?  Bring your questions to our Zoom meeting on Thursday, September 1 at 8 p.m. EDT!

We're using Zoom so that we can screen-share and discuss things directly, but you don't need to be on the video chat. You can just watch. For those who prefer to watch later, a recording will be on YouTube and linked here.

Topics could include:

• Searching for things on WikiTree
• Creating and linking profiles
• Adding sources
• Photos
• DNA
• Privacy
• Communicating with other members
• Using free-space profiles
• Importing previous research
• ... and truly anything else WikiTree-related that you're curious about!

I will be there even  though I've been in the tree for a few years. There is always more to learn here to learn here, even basics!

This sounds very interesting, and good that there will be a recording for those unwilling/unable to attend as it's in the middle of the night (e.g. UK/European time zones).

If you plan on making this a regular event, would it be possible to allow people to submit questions/suggestions in advance, if they can't join 'live'?

HI there everyone would love to be on the chat but am in Australia - what time zone are you holding this in ? CEST?  Just so that I need to know what time to log in., ie is it 8pm Thursday German time or ? Thankyou Shirley

I'll try and join. Here in Western Australia we're 12 ahead so it'll be 8am Friday here.

8 in the morning would have been great for me. But being in Sweden to be awake and absorbing something at 2 am local time are too hard.
