Did Ebenezer Elliott, the Rotherham poet, have any children who settled in Cornwall?

My great grandfather was James Elliott born 1810 in Saltash Cornwall who I think may have been the grandson of the Corn Law poet Ebenezer.  I can find no reference to Ebenezer's children, other than he had several including 4 or 5 sons, all of whom "were settled" in life.

I am a descendant of him.  My grandfather, Thomas Rigby Taylor was his great-grandson, or great great grandson.  I will check with my father, he will know.   So I think that must make me his great, great (and perhaps another great) granddaughter.  He is definitely a part of my genealogy though, my father has always told me
Joanna, I am an American descendant of Ebenezer Elliott through the first marriage of George Edwin Elliott. I was previously in touch with a Taylor back in 2006-08 who kindly shared some of his writings, newspaper clippings, and the effort to restore the Elliott statue (to which my mother and I contributed). He provided some valuable information about my own lineage back to the Corn Law Rhymer. It has been years since communicating with him, and as you can tell I am still working on my own family tree. I hope he is well, and knows his "distant relative" sends his warm regards.

I checked at familysearch.org on James Elliott and found a pedigree resource file that seems to have been well documented. You might want to check it out. It shows:

William Barrett Elliott, born 1844, son of James Elliott born 1810, son of James Elliott born 1780, son of William Elliot/Elliott born 1733, died 1819, had been married to Thomasine Willa.

Thank you Frank; it would seem on the face of your research, the answer to my question is probably no;  what a shame!  As a scribbler of sorts myself, I quite fancied being descended from the  Corn Law Rhymer and poet of the poor.  But  Ebenezer was born in 1781  - and all my lot seem to favour James and William as names - what a boring bunchlaugh.

Thanks again

Rose Moreton.
