Merging two profiles, DNA did not merge?

Question

The merge of Whitcomb-2015 into Whitcomb-1922, merged all the information with the exception of the DNA. It did not automatically merge after 30 days and profile manger of Whitcomb-1922 did not follow through on merge as requested several times. I initiated and completed the merge today. It currently only lists one of the descendant's DNA, not the one listed on Whitcomb-2015. Additionally, it listed both profile manages instead of just the original profile manger of Whitcomb-1922. Any idea on how to get the DNA from Whitcomb-2015 to also be reflected on Whitcomb-1922?  Does it matter that the original profile manager is not listed as a single profile manager and listed as the second profile manager? DNA connections are only updated once a day, so they should show tomorrow.  All profile managers remain after a merge takes place.

Thank you Kathy for a concise answer!  When I merged them awhile ago, my DNA did show on both, but there was a problem with the profiles being listed as each others sibling.  Therefore, each profile continued to exist.  Once I corrected the sibling situation, I was still required to wait the 30 days or have the initial profile manager complete the merge. The 30 days have past and I completed the merge. I appear first as one of the profile mangers and would have preferred the original profile manager be listed as the only profile manager.  The merge information did not indicate this aspect. However, since he failed to complete the merge, I guess we will both be shown as profile managers.  Julia

To remove yourself as profile manager, go to the profile. Click the privacy tab.  You will see the members on the trusted list. Under that, click “Remove Yourself” to take yourself off the trusted list entirely. If you want to be on the trusted list but not be a profile manager, then go to your photo and to the right, click “Remove as manager.”
