Thanks, but not the same person. The Maria Magdalena Potgieter I am looking for was a lot older, her daughter Catharina Elizabeth Kemp was born in 1821.

In the International Genealogical Index (IGI) there is a Maria Magdalena Potgieter who ws christened in 1802 at Graaff Reinet, Cape, South Africa. Her spouse was Gerhardus Philippus Kemp who was christened 29 May 1791. They had Jacomina Josina Kemp in 1837.

I took the information you provided and went to familysearch.org . Then I entered the names and dates or slight modifications of the dates and did a search. After that it was a case of browsing through the different but similar results to determine which one or ones looked the most likely.
