Does your project have a monitor in the Categorization Project google groups?

+14 votes

The Categorization Project is doing an extensive review of category names and hierarchies. When completed it should be easier to identify the proper category for profiles.

Categories can impact all other projects on Wikitree.

It is not always clear which categories might impact which projects.

In order that all projects are aware of proposed changes in hierarchies before they are announced on G2G and can offer input in the development we are requesting that each project have at least one manager who will monitor the categorization google groups discussion.   It is not necessary that the manger be a member of the categorization project, only that they help identify issues that might impact their project.  The monitor’s job would be to make sure that communication between the projects takes place as needed.

Please contact me to have names added to the google groups list.

Here's a project suggestion:  adding those wonderful "WoW  Look what I found" resources to cat pages.

Oh, geez.  Hrumph.  Go ahead and give me the badge.  I've been following "categorization" for well over a year so I could learn the stuff, and not get spanked by your or Gaile.  And I do enough of it (with or without approval) the way, you saw that the cotton and wool cats were fixed, right?  Do you all have a google group?
