Cherokee chies by the last name of Robin?

My mother's name was Bertha Violet Robin. Her father's last name was Robin and he was an Cherokee chief in Canada. I don't know his first name.

How sure are you about the information you have? A Cherokee chief in Canada is not very likely, given that the Cherokee tribe is mainly in the southeastern United States, pretty far from Canada. Some Cherokee live here, but a chief would more likely be in the area where the tribe is.

My brother lived with Bertha and her mother and father. I got the information from him that Mr. Robin moved to Canada and bought some land and started a reservation there, that is how he became the tribal Chief. But my brother and our mother Bertha staid in Ohio.

My mother's maiden name was Robin. Bertha Violet Robin's father was full blooded Cherokee and was a Chief of a tribe somewhere in Canada. I don't know his first name. And I think her mother's first name was Myrtle, but I don't know her maiden name, but it could be Hill. My father, Perry Meredith was 1 of 9 of her husbands. My name is Terry Douglas Meredith. Bertha died in Myersville, CA. I don't know when she died.  Bertha was born in Bolivar, OH in 1919, I don't know what month. I am going to contact a paper in Myersville, Ca to see if her death was posted.

Berta Robbins is in the 1920 and the 1930 United States Census.

1920 census shows her at 1 year old in Shelby, Ohio. older sister, Mirtle, is 6y, mother Bessy is 29, and Harry Robbins is 34y. All four where born in Ohio.

1930 census shows Bertha Robbins 11y, younger brother, Delmar is 7y, and younger sister Hellen is 5y. Myrtle is 16, Bessie is 37, and Harry Robbins is 44. Everyone was born in Ohio. The census location was Allen, Darke, OH.

There was a Viola Robbins born May 22, 1919 who had a social security number, 154-09-1226 issued in New Jersey. She died in February 1967 at the estimated age of 48. There was also a V. Robins who had a social security number issued in the state of Washington, who died April 1970.

To Terry Douglas Meredith. I have been looking for the son of a Perry Meredith  that had siblings in California. My mother-in-law was his sister. We have been looking for him on the internet for over 20 years.  From what she was told Perry his father put him in a different home. Thelma Camen Meredith is his sister that has been searching for him. She believed his mother went by Bert and this was why I had to reply to you . She was young when he was sent away. But she believed he was approx. 5 year older and she was born in 1956.  Perry his father was married to a Thelma Meredith(Loften) whom is deceased.
