I am looking for the parents of Maria Dorothea Schultz. She was born 3/18/1778 in Prieborn; married Christian Johann Benedix in 1802; died 11/22,1820. I think her father may have been Johann Wilhelm Schultz?  Thank you!

Hi Dennis, you might get more response to your question if you add tags to your question.  I would recommend Germany, Schultz, Benedix and Prieborn.  Best of luck in your search.

Thanks for your suggestion!  New at this.
Hi Dennis, remove the underscores and list them as individual tags.  They'll show up in the feeds of the folks who follow those tags, that way.  WikiTree is a little quirky and a bit of a challenge, at first, but it's a great community.  Have fun!
Thanks for advising Dennis on G2G tags, Mark. I have removed the underscores on his behalf.
Thank you, Ellen.

Prieborn was in Schlesien, now Poland.

Church books exist

Maybe this helps to find more pointers, but I’m not an expert in that geographic area.

Prieborn is now called Przeworno in Poland.
Thanks for the tip!
That book is from 1902, and sadly the situation has changed. The Lutheran church books (which would be relevant here) no longer exist, they were lost during WWII. http://www.christoph-www.de/kbsilesia4.html#P

What confession did she belong to?

According to http://www.christoph-www.de/kbsilesia4.html#P, there are Catholic records dating back to 1711, but all Lutheran records are lost since WWII.

Note that https://wiki.genealogy.net/Die_Kirchenb%C3%BCcher_Schlesiens_beider_Confessionen_(1902)/053 is from a book published in 1902 (pre-1945).

EDIT: From the sources cited on her profile, it would appear that she was Lutheran. I'm sorry.
