32 million profiles are now in the WikiTree Database

Question

Just a minute ago, the database was filled with the 32 millionth profile. I took a screenshot at the right moment, but I don't know how to upload it here. Here is a link to my Twitter with a picture of it.

... including 27,273,538 connected to you and me (as of this morning Connection Finder figures), that is 85.2% of the total.

The proportion was 84.3% one year ago.

Bernard, how long did it take this time to create a million profiles? I'm sure you know the numbers.

I had not the figures, but G2G has : https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1439071/wikitree-exceeds-31-million-profiles-twice

31M were passed on July 3, so it took exactly 3 months for this new million. About average compared to recent growth.

The members added 1 million more profiles 10 days earlier than projected.

Thanks, Jelena! When I started on WT we were at 8 million. It's hard to believe that since my newbie days, we've added 24 million more! Participating here has changed my opinion of genealogy. I used to think of it as a dull hobby. But now, with WT collaborators all around the world, my eyes have been opened. We have fun here!

That's awesome! I added a few more tonight as I am now going through and adding spouses and children to my great aunts and uncles through the generations.

Oh wow, that’s awesome! So on average that’s about 40 profiles per WikiTreer. 

And an average of 9900 profiles a day between March 23 and today.
