Can we check James Wyche’s DOB?

I believe he belongs to the right parents and is the father of Amy Wyche but he cannot have been born in 1791. I see trees that have him born 1670 but no sources and I don’t have access to the sources listed
WikiTree profile: James Wyche

The article on the Wyche family cited in the sources says that the Rev. Henry Wyche died in 1678.  It names children including Henry, b. 27 Jan 1648 and says that he "is said to have emigrated to America."  at which point the article ends.

The next part of the article (Vol. 14, No. 1, July 1905)  says,

2 September 1679 Henry Wyche first appears in records of Surry County, VA.

No mention of a wife or of the births of children. He is apparently the Henry who wrote his will in 1712, probated in 1714, which named children Eleanor, William, George, Sarah, Henry, and James.  James must have been at least 21 since he is named sole executor of the will.  image at Wills and deeds (Surry County, Virginia), 1652-1907 (familysearch.org) The article does not cite a birth date for James, just his 1748 death.

Well that makes the 1770 a little more likely. Not many sources but a lot of families sure of this lineage. This is a gateway to a lot of royalty which would make people want to hang on to it.

We’ve also got daughters Amy born in 1692 and an Ann born in 1727 married to the same person which seems a little fishy.

Here's info from James' will: James Wyche signed a will on 24 Feb 1748 in Surry County, VA. His will, made February 24, 1748, was probated June 20, 1749.

Will of James Wyche
To daughter, Amy Jackson, her husband, Ambrose, one negro for life, then to her heirs. To my daughter, Tabitha Lucas, one lamb. To my eldest son, James, the lower part part of my land at Flagg Gutt...below Great Island to John Tharp's path. To daughter, Martha Bridges one ewe lamb. To daughter Elizabeth Johnson, one negro. To my youngest son, Nathaniel Wyche, the remainder of the land and two negoes. To daughter, Sarah, one ewe. To daughter, Ann, a negro. To daughter, Frances, one ewe, negro, etc. To daughter Rebecca, one negro. To wife Elizabeth, the remainder of the estate. Son, James and Nathaniel Wyche. Witnesses were James (F)Terrell and William Pettaway. (Recorded
in Surry County VA Will Book 8, page 196.)
It looks like there is an Ambrose Jr born about 1715. He’s probably the husband of the 1727 Ann Wyche.
