Lacharia's son-in-law, Rubin Chawes, was the husband of Lacharia's daughter, Bertha Chawes (born Fischmann) .

[The boldfaced words in the display version of the above sentence are "Bertha Chawes (born Fischmann)" I don't want those words to be boldfaced, but I can't seem to remove the boldface.]

WikiTree profile: Lacharia Fischmann
in Genealogy Help by David Chawes G2G3 (3.9k points)

This is strange, David. I can't see why that section is bold, nor fix it.

If no one else has a better answer, please edit your question and add the tag  bugs  so as to draw attention.

I did fix a minor error which was causing a red link. The wife's WikiTree ID is Sillermann-1 not Sillerman-1.

To remove the boldface change:

to
 • Bertha Chawes (born Fischmann)
by Tommy Buch G2G Astronaut (1.9m points)

Thanks Tommy. That's not quite the right answer, but it gave me a clue. The problem was that Bertha's WikiTree ID is Fischmann-12 not Fischmann-13. I've corrected it now, to

Bertha Chawes (born Fischmann)

David: to be sure to get the right ID, copy and paste using the icons that look like

was it bold red?
No, and that's mysterious. Maybe there is some bug.
No. It won't be red because Fischmann-13 exists.
Oddly also, while the bold face was present on the finished profile, it didn't show up in the edit preview.
When you link to your own profile (or when a profile links to itself), it bold's the name. It doesn't care what the text (or name is). So, that is why it was bold.
Right, that explains the whole thing. The mother is Lacharia Fischmann-13, the daughter is Bertha Fischmann-12. Originally the text was

Bertha Chawes (born Fischmann)

so the mother's profile was referring to itself. That causes bold as Tommy says. Once I changed to

Bertha Chawes (born Fischmann)

with Bertha's correct ID, the bold went away.
You will often see this scenario play out in the Acknowledgement section.
