Ed Pavey's Sourcer extension issues

Ok, will try and ask this again as it seems the first one didn't fly.  I was happily inputting info into profiles a few days ago and using Sourcer and all was well.  Suddenly, I got a message that it was corrupt.  The extension vanished off of my title bar too.  I went into the ink blot (extensions) and looked at it and it said that it wasn't on.  Clicked on the repair button and it all came back . .  except that the info that it is copying into the profiles isn't what is used to copy some minutes earlier.  It is almost a truncated version of the info that is available.  See "Michener-495" down in the sources section for that issue of what the info looks like now and "Walter-8295" for what it looked like before the corruption.  Can anyone help me with this?  I removed the extension and downloaded it again with the same result . . even rebooted my laptop but to no avail.  Would appreciate some help from one of you Wonderful WikiTreers!  Thanks!

Hi Jim,

I am the developer of WikiTree Sourcer. This is my guess of what you are experiencing...

In the last release of Sourcer support was added for newspapers.com. This requires that the extension requests permission to access a new site and it may be disabled until you agree to give it new permission.

When you uninstalled it and reinstalled it, it reset the extensions options to the default settings. That is why the citations look different. You can get them back to how you want by changing the extension options.

If it started generating them in a different format without you uninstalling and reinstalling the extension then that is odd. I'm not sure what the message about something being corrupt was. I have also never seen a repair button. Which browser are you using?

Hi Rob!  Yeah, thanks for "picking up" on this and BTW, thanks for the Sourcer extension - I love it and it works great! (well, most of the time)  Ok, browser in use was in Chrome.

I've tried to do what you suggested but don't seem to get it right yet.  If you would please check Walter-8295 and look at the two items (#5 & #6) in the Sources section, you'll see what I mean.  Both are "narrative with citation" selections but sure show up differently as far as the info conveyed.  Would you know which option I have missed?
HI Rob . . . I've gone through all of the check mark items and investigated all the other items on the menu as to how I had them set before the "corruption" but nothing seems to work.  I even checked them off one at a time and performed a "narrative with citation" for all of them but essentially came out the same.  I let it rest for a day, rebooted but the result is still the same.  Sourcer isn't copying the listed information now in the same way it did last week.  Would appreciate some advice on this.  Thanks.
Hi Jim,

If you give a specific piece of text that was in the citations that you were generating before that is not generated with your current settings I can point you to which option controls that.

When I look at Michener-495 and Walter-8295 it looks like you want a table of fields in the citation. That is controlled by this option:

Citation tab -> Ancestry -> Include record data at end of citation as:  Table of field names/values.
Ah, SUBSECTION Ancestry . . .  that was what I missed.  I thought that "general" would be sufficient.  Great, that cleaned it up.  Thanks, Rob and thanks again for the Sourcer extension!
