Received a message that I was tagged in too many feeds. I don’t understand.

If you are following more than 20 tags you will need to eliminate enough to get the number down to 20.

Christopher: can you give us any further details? Was the message an onscreen error, or an email? In the former case, what were you doing at the time? (In the latter case, don't publish the sender address though.) What was the exact wording?
