Proposal to merge John Richards (Richards-7417) into John Richards PGM (Richards-1225)

The merge of Richards-7417 into Richards-1225 was rejected with the comment, "Richards-7417 and Richards-1225 do not represent the same person because: Different dob / dod."

Richards-7417 is unsourced, and reports no dod; the dob reported is obviously in error (he was not 5 yrs old when he married). See the profile comment.

Richards-1225, John Richards (bef.1625-1694), is PGM. That profile is supported by an array of sources, including Clifford L. Stott, Humphrey Blake (1494?–1558) and His Descendants in New England and South Carolina: Blake, Richards, Selleck, Torrey, and Wolcott, The New England Historical & Genealogical Register, in part, 163 (2009, WN 652):278-295+ at 294 (John Richards); digital images by subscription AmericanAncestors, Stott identifies John's baptism and parentage.

Space restrictions require that I post further sources as a comment.

Any assistance is appreciated.--Gene
