I'm not certain that William Gudgeon's first wife is correct. I'm not certain she's wrong either, but if anyone has any relevant knowledge I'd love to hear it.
He married Elizabeth Robinson (neé Chambers) on 17 Sep 1838. On the marriage certificate [

On the 1841 census he is with his second wife, daughter Hannah (aged 15), Elizabeth (aged 14), Eleanor (aged 11) - all presumably from his first marriage)Margaret (aged 3), could be either wife and John aged 5 months, presumably from his second wife. Also present are Mary and Ann Robinson aged 10 and 8, his wife's children from her fist marriage.
However, I haven't seen anything that provides a solid link between Eleanor Leeming and William. There is a marriage that fits, but it's in Chorley and William was born in Kendal and lived there in 1841. His second daughter is called Eleanor though, which could be a clue.
Can anyone confidently link William to Eleanor Leeming?
